The Arrowhead Library System subscribes to a number of periodicals that may be of interest to library staff. We routinely route new issues to staff at ALS and in member libraries who have expressed an interest. Generally, we maintain back issues for one year. As always, if you’re at ALS for a meeting or other event, please feel to browse the periodicals housed in our Professional Collection. ALTA Newsletter – The Voice
Friends of Libraries U.S.A. (FOLUSA) and the Association for Library Trustees and Advocates (ALTA) joined forces to become an expanded division of ALA known as the Association of Library Trustees, Advocates, Friends and Foundations, now “United for Libraries.” The Voice is their nwesletter.

American Libraries
The official news and features magazine of the American Library Association

AudioFile
Devoted to audiobooks. AudioFile reviews more than 100 audiobooks in each issue.

Booklist
Aa publication of the American Library Association that provides critical reviews of books and audiovisual materials for all ages. It is geared toward libraries and booksellers.

Computers in Libraries
Coverage of the news and issues in the field of library information technology. Focusing on the practical application of technology in community, school, academic, and special libraries.

HR Magazine
A widely read human resources publication. Published by a professional association devoted to human resource management.

Knowledge Quest
Published by the American Association of School Librarians, a division of the American Library Association, Knowledge Quest is devoted to offering substantive information to assist school librarians and others concerned with the development of school library programs and services.

Library Administrator’s Digest
Reviews current library news and innovations from newsletters and the press, focusing on public libraries. Editorial insights are provided by Charles W. Robinson, director emeritus of the Baltimore County Public Library.
