Tell MDE your ideas for spending federal aid funds by June 1st

The Minnesota Department of Education is seeking public comment on how to spend it’s 1.3 billion dollar share of federal aid for schools. The public comment period ends at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1st.

This survey is intended for any interested member of the public and all stakeholders, including:
• Parents and families
• Students
• School districts and charter schools across the state
• Teachers, principals, other school leaders, paraprofessionals
• Charter school leaders
• Community-based organizations
• American Indian Tribal leaders and members
• Civil rights organizations, including those representing students with disabilities, English learners, and other historically underserved students
• Institutions of higher education
• Employers/businesses
• Representatives of private school students
• Early childhood educators and leaders

If you prefer not to submit your comments online, you may submit them as an email attachment to mde.federalcovidfunds@state.mn.us or you may mail a hard copy of your survey responses (postmarked by June 1) to:
