Mary Murphy has served in the Minnesota House of Representatives since 1977 and we are thrilled that she was recently able to visit the ALS building in Mountain Iron for the first time. Representative Murphy is a strong library supporter (and user!) and her efforts have been recognized by the Minnesota Library Association. Here at ALS, we made her the subject of a READ poster (see below) that hangs in the ALS Board Room and features Representative Murphy reading a book in the chambers of the Minnesota House of Representatives. Our thanks to Representative Murphy for her recent visit, but especially for her unwavering advocacy for libraries and library users across Minnesota.
