Take me out to ball game. That’s what Rusty is trying to tell us. He put on his Twins cap, a fresh face mask and is ready to go.
Once the great game is over, win or loose, Rusty retires to read one of his favorite books about baseball from his local library. Some available titles include:
Town ball : the glory days of Minnesota amateur baseball
They played for the love of the game: untold stories of Black baseball in Minnesota
Or Rusty can borrow the DVD of The Minnesota Twins 1987 World Series.
The deer sculpture outside the ALS building was created by Duluth artist Ann Klefstad. The sculpture is one of many public art pieces across the Arrowhead region, courtesy of the Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund dollars provided through Minnesota’s Legacy Amendment.
