Assistant Library Director for Grand Marais Public Library
The Grand Marais Public Library is seeking an Assistant Library Director to assist the Library Director in maintaining daily library operations and to operate the library independently in the Director’s absence. Activities may include policy formulation and implementation, managing staff and library functions, coordinate and present programs, cultivate outreach partnerships and meet with community groups.
Qualifications preferred are a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, one year of experience working in a library setting, one year of experience in a supervisory capacity, knowledge of budgets, ability to learn a variety of computer software products, familiarity with using and navigating the Internet. Master’s degree from an ALA accredited MLS program is highly desired.
This full-time, year round position has a starting wage is $22.19 with increase to $24.65 in 12 months. The position is open until filled with first review of applications beginning on May 8th.

Library Director for Virginia Public Library
The City of Virginia is seeking a Library Director to act as the department head of the Public Library. Duties include managing library services, overseeing staff, coordinating with patrons and working to improve library facilities. Ability to foster and grow opportunities for collaboration is necessary and the Director is responsible for positive promotion and marketing of the Library facility. Work is performed under the general supervision of the City Administrator. Supervision is exercised over all department personnel.
Requirements for this position are a Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program; Four (4) years of executive experience in institutional library leadership, two (2) of which must include experience in a library or similar setting. Preferred candidates will have at least two (2) Years minimum experience in a municipal or public library setting. Salary range for this position is $65,950.00- $75,823.75 based on experience with an excellent benefits package.

Library Director for Silver Bay Public Library
The City of Silver Bay seeks an experienced and enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with proven leadership ability to serve as the full time Public Library Director. Responsibilities include administrative management, supervision, technological administration, programming, collection development and all other activities related to the operation and management of a public library. Minimum Required Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and two years’ work experience in the library environment. Work experience in relevant management, supervisory and technology administration necessary. Successful candidates will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to administer library services within a budget, have flexible work schedule and ability to multi-task daily library operations in a small public library environment. Must have flexible schedule. This is a full-time position with competitive wages and benefit package. This position reports to the Library Board of Trustees, City Administrator, and City Council.
