Over 1600 piece of furniture capture the legacy of the Capitol Building, its occupants, and its design. Enjoy the stories of these objects found throughout Minnesota.

The Cass Gilbert Society is on the hunt for missing, original furnishings from the Minnesota State Capitol. Project Manager Natalie Heneghan has been collecting stories and photographs from the Capitol since March 2017, and she is eager to share what she has found.

During the program, Natalie will introduce the project, share stories of items she has found and people she’s met, and show images of the furniture and fixtures.

This program, sponsored by Arrowhead Library System, was funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund and an Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund Grant from the Minnesota Historical Society.
