Our colleagues at Library Journal produce several helpful e-newsletters that library staff might find useful. The two that I currently subscribe to are LJ Reviews (twice a month) which “serves up a potent
mix of previews of upcoming titles; timely reviews of current books,
audiobooks, DVDs, and other media; and cutting-edge collection
development and readers’ advisory guidance from LJ staffers and
contributors. Plus, author and publisher interviews and conference
coverage”as well as LJXpress (weekly) which “provides public and academic
librarians with a snapshot of the latest news from the field, plus
select highlights from the magazine, along with a featured Job Zone
posting, and weekly Xpress Reviews.”
