enjoy listening and watching talented musicians, dancers, and actors
then pick up free tickets at area libraries!
April
Verch will be performing at 7:30 p.m. on January 13th at
the Reif Center.
Ferried to dance-filled old-time gatherings and
country & western jamborees by her music-loving parents, April
Verch followed her older sister into step dancing at age 3, and
picked up the fiddle at age 6. By the time Verch graduated high
school; she’d won the Canadian Open Old Time Fiddle Championship
and released a pair of albums! The April Verch Band is an energetic,
virtuosic, tradition-celebrating group, not to mention one that’s
not soon forgotten. It doesn’t hurt that the grand finale involves
Verch fiddling and step dancing—often executing two entirely
different intricate rhythmic patterns—at once.
Tickets
for the April Verch concert are available at the following public
libraries:
Aurora, Bovey, Calumet, Coleraine, Eveleth, Gilbert Grand
Rapids, Hibbing, Keewatin, Marble and Virginia.

Rhyhmic Circus will be presenting their show FEET DON’T
FAIL ME NOW! at the Hibbing High School Auditorium, on Thursday,
January 22nd at 7:00 p.m.
This dynamic tap and music performance
mixes high-energy percussive dance with a live rock band and human
beatbox that guarantees to enthrall audiences of all ages with its
medley of positivity and infectious rhythm. It is a wildly creative
take on tap dance and music that will inspire the audience to follow
their dreams!
