Since 1966, the Arrowhead Library System has been providing services to the libraries and residents of northeastern Minnesota. Services like our Bookmobile and Mail-A-Book continue to endure and evolve, while other services adapt to changing times and needs. ALS provides an online catalog of the collections from almost every public library in the region along with several area schools and one specialized libraries. There is also 24/7 access to a variety of library materials, including e-books, downloadable audiobooks, e-magazines, and a broad selection of electronic research databases. Other databases provide job-searching and training tools as well as practice exams in many fields. There’s summer and winter reading program activities across the region, including family-orientated programs and performers every summer. As the recipient of Arts and Cultural Heritage funding through Minnesota’s Legacy Amendment you will also find programs year-round in each of our seven counties.
