2016 Coloring Book Design Contest
Arrowhead Library System patrons of all ages are invited to submit original artwork for the 2016 Coloring Book Design Contest. The Arrowhead Library System seeks to create a coloring book for all patrons visiting local libraries through the use of LEGACY funds from the State of Minnesota Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment.
Theme: Up North
Suggested drawings might, but need not include:
- Historic locations
- City/town representations
- Up North activities
Deadline: Friday, October 14, 2016 is the deadline. Submissions MUST be postmarked by that date or brought into the library in order to be considered.
Number of Submissions: Individuals may submit no more than one (1) drawing for consideration. Final artwork must be on white 8 ½ x 11 paper and be completed in black ink for reproduction purposes.
Submissions by U.S. Mail: Send submissions and the completed/signed Entry/Release Form and to your local library.
Electronic Submissions: Send submissions as either jpg. or pdf. Attachments to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Evaluation Criteria: The Selection Committee will review work for imagery, content, creativity, and originality for the intended audience. Selected artwork/page designs will be credited in the final printed version with the artist’s name, picture, and short biography. The top rated art design will be selected for the cover. Notification will be made to those whose work is selected for publication no later than Friday, November 20, 2016.
