The Arrowhead Library System (ALS) will be providing Beautiful Writing with Calligraphy Take & Create Kits for member public libraries to distribute September 2 – 30, 2024. This art experience, created by Silver Bay Calligrapher Lynn Prouty, introduces the art of calligraphy for beginners and enthusiasts. Experiment with two different colors of ink! Make your own bookmark using calligraphy! Ignite a lifelong passion with the handwritten word!
Take & Create Calligraphy Kits will include a workbook for practicing calligraphy, a calligraphy pen and nib, two different inks, and a bookmark for you to personalize. Kits will be distributed at the following public libraries and ALS outreach locations:

This free program is best suited for ages 12 and older – younger children may need extra help from an adult. Please note each location has a limited number of kits – feel free to contact your local library for more information.
