Music can lighten the holiday blues, bring warm feelings to a cold winter day, and calm to a stressful time. Christina Cotruvo will play and discuss the American-Celtic harp, the hi-tech Harp Ukulele and a therapy harp, and she will share the history of the songs she performs from a variety of genres and how they work toward wellness.  This hour-long program is geared toward teens and adults.  Christina resides in Duluth and is a Certified Clinical Musician who uses these unique instruments and her voice in community music groups, memory care facilities, and one-on-one patient therapeutic music services, focusing on the wellness intent of good vibrations. Inspired by living on the shores of Lake Superior, she publishes No-C-Notes® audio music description for those with visual impairment, is the leader of Duluth Ukulele Community Strum, teaches harp and ukulele, and provides seminars on therapeutic music.

This program, sponsored by Arrowhead Library System, was funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
